United Methodist Women

UMW is a group of women organized for mission and Christian growth and fellowship. We have two circles; one meets at 7:00 on the Second Monday evening of each month, and the other meets at 1:00 on the Second Thursday of each month. Both circles meet in the East Parlor. Meetings consist of fellowship and a program, with refreshments following.

The UMW also has several general meetings and projects during the year, including the Fall Cookie Walk, a fund raiser for missions, a December Christmas Breakfast, and the Lenten White Breakfast. The UMW also provides funeral lunches and occasional other meals and special events as needed around the church.

Service Ministries Handy Helpers

These helpful people do small repair tasks (painting, etc.) for seniors or others who cannot do the work themselves or afford to pay for it to be done. If you or someone you know needs some work done, work request forms are available from the church office. We are also helping to build a Habitat for Humanity house.

Advent House Meals

Our Outreach Team prepares and serves dinner on the first Saturday of every even month (Feb., April, etc.). To help, arrive at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (corner of Martin Luther King and Oakland) at 3:30. We usually serve at 4:30 and are done by 5:30. Debbie Worden is the contact person.

Mt. Hope has a variety of committees working on many different projects(View a table of church committees and contact information, Adobe Acrobat File, file size: 26Kb)
